About This PC

The Cathedral design is a milestone in custom PC printing — we were one of the first PC builders in the world to mix opaque and semi-transparent elements in a stained glass style. A mighty red dragon fills one side of the window and a noble knight the other, framed by a border of stone that matches the black case in dark grey.

Underneath the artwork, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB and AMD Ryzen 5 7600X make this a strong 1440p and 4K gaming machine, with plenty of headroom for high-refresh competitive play at 1080p in shooters like Counter-Strike 2, Valorant and Apex Legends. With 16GB of DDR5, a 1TB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home, it's ready to play out of the box, and it comes with Playtech's 3-year warranty.

Every system is assembled and tested by Playtech technicians before it ships. If you want more room for big game libraries, streaming or multitasking, choose 32GB or 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD from the Memory and Storage options on this page before adding it to your cart.

Frequently Asked Questions

What games can this PC run, and at what resolution?

You can expect excellent performance at every resolution. Across our 29-game test suite at high settings, all 29 games ran above 60 fps at both 1080p and 1440p, and 25 of 29 still cleared 60 fps at 4K. Competitive titles fly — Counter-Strike 2 sits around 580 fps at 1080p and over 400 fps at 4K, Valorant well over 600 fps, and Apex Legends hits its 300 fps cap at 1440p. Demanding games hold up too, with Cyberpunk 2077 around 186 fps at 1080p and 116 fps at 1440p, and Battlefield 6 near 118 fps at 1440p.

Can I buy a PC without a graphics card?

Yes. If you already have a graphics card you'd like to use, let us know and we'll quote you a custom system without one. If you're near our Rosedale, Auckland workshop, you can drop your card in and we'll install it for you. Otherwise, tell us which power connectors your GPU uses and we'll route and expose the right cables so it's easy to install when your PC arrives.

When will my PC arrive?

Most PCs take a couple of days to assemble, and the build time for each system is shown on its product page. Once your PC is built and tested, it ships with your chosen delivery option. Delivery usually takes 1–2 days in the North Island and 2–4 days in the South Island. Rural deliveries can take longer because they depend on the local courier's schedule.

Can I customise this PC?

Yes. Every Playtech PC is built on a modular platform, so it can be upgraded, customised or modified to suit your needs. We're happy to adjust any of our systems, whether that's more storage, a different CPU cooler or a full component swap. Some changes may add to the cost, so get in touch with our team and we'll talk through what you're after and put together a quote.

What Do 1080p, 1440p, and 4K Mean?

When shopping for a gaming PC or monitor, you’ll often see terms like 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. These refer to the resolution of the display, which determines how many pixels are used to create the image on your screen.

Higher resolutions mean more pixels and sharper image detail.

  • 1080p (Full HD) – 1920 × 1080 pixels. This is the most common resolution for gaming and offers excellent performance on entry-level and mid-range systems.

  • 1440p (Quad HD) – 2560 × 1440 pixels. This resolution provides noticeably sharper visuals than 1080p and has become a popular choice for modern gaming monitors.

  • 4K (Ultra HD) – 3840 × 2160 pixels. 4K delivers extremely sharp image quality but requires a very powerful graphics card to run modern games smoothly.

Higher resolutions create more detailed visuals but also require more graphics performance from your GPU. That’s why many gamers choose their graphics card based on the resolution they plan to play at.

What Does Frame Rate (FPS) Mean?

Frame rate, often measured in FPS (frames per second), describes how many images your computer renders every second while playing a game.

The higher the FPS, the smoother and more responsive the game feels.

For example:

  • 30 FPS – Playable, but may feel less smooth
  • 60 FPS – Smooth gameplay and the traditional PC gaming standard
  • 120+ FPS – Very smooth gameplay ideal for competitive gaming
  • 240+ FPS – Ultra-smooth performance for esports players

Fast-paced games such as Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, and Fortnite benefit greatly from higher frame rates because they make movement and aiming feel more responsive.

A powerful CPU and graphics card help your PC generate higher frame rates for smoother gameplay.

What Is Monitor Refresh Rate (Hz)?

A monitor’s refresh rate, measured in Hertz (Hz), tells you how many times per second the screen can update the image.

For example:

  • 60Hz monitor → updates the image 60 times per second
  • 144Hz monitor → updates 144 times per second
  • 240Hz monitor → updates 240 times per second

Higher refresh rates allow you to see more frames from your gaming PC, which results in smoother motion and clearer movement during gameplay.

For instance, if your PC produces 144 FPS in a game but your monitor is only 60Hz, you will only see 60 of those frames each second. To fully experience higher frame rates, you need a monitor with a matching refresh rate.

High-refresh monitors are especially popular with competitive gamers playing titles like Apex Legends or Call of Duty: Warzone, where smoother motion can improve reaction time and accuracy.
