Old-School Lay Away is Back – Pay Your Way, the Classic Way
We’re bringing back the traditional lay sway option for our gaming PCs — giving you the freedom to pay off your dream setup over time, just like in the good old days. With our lay away system, you can secure one of our high-performance gaming desktops without needing to pay the full amount upfront.
How it works:
Your total order value is evenly split into 12 payments. Every time an installment is paid you’ll receive an automated email with a secure link to pay your next installment.
You can pay these installments as fast or as slow as you like, as long as the full order is paid within 3 months.
Once all 12 payments are completed, your PC will be built and prepared for pickup or shipping — fully paid, fully yours.
No credit checks. No interest. No surprises.
Just a simple, flexible way to order your dream rig and chip away at the cost over time.

The Process
1. Choose a PC
Browse our website and choose a PC that you'd like to order - if you're having trouble deciding feel free to come and see us in-store or send us a message on livechat by clicking the speech bubble in the bottom corner of our website!
2. Select Lay Away at Checkout
Add a PC to your shopping cart and progress to the checkout - fill out your details and then scroll down to payment methods and select "Playtech Lay Away" to place your order and begin the process.
3. Make your first payment
After you've placed an order we'll send you a starter email that explains the process in more detail and has a payment link for your first payment - making this payment will lock in your order and confirm your Lay Away contract!
4. Pay it off over 3 months!
After making your first payment you'll immediately receive another payment link for your next installment!
Don't worry though - you don't need to pay right away, just make the payments as quickly as you're comfortable to do so - as long as the order is paid within 3 months there's no rush!
When we receive the final payment we'll be in touch to make arrangements for pickup or delivery!

By placing a lay away order you agree to pay the balance of your order in a timely manner and that you understand your rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986 and Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Your Consumer Rights Cannot Be Excluded
This contract operates under New Zealand law. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 cannot be excluded or limited. If you have concerns about this agreement, seek independent advice before signing.
Privacy Notice We collect your information to process your lay away and contact you about payments. Your information is kept secure and not shared except as required by law or for delivery purposes.
LAY AWAY POLICY
1. What is Lay Away?
Lay Away allows you to secure a gaming PC by paying in 12 installments over a 3 month period. We hold your items until fully paid, then you collect or receive delivery.
2. Lay Away Terms
Minimum Purchase: $899.00
Payment Schedule: 12 identical payments paid over 3 months from original order date.
Payment Methods: Cash, EFTPOS, bank transfer, credit/debit card.
Fees: No lay away fees or interest charges.
Cancellation Fee: 10% of total paid.
Eligible Products: Desktop PC systems only. (Exclusions apply)
3. How Lay Away Works
- Select your PC System on our online store and choose lay away at checkout.
- Our system will email you a starter email that includes a link to make payment for your first installment.
- Once you've made payment, another email will be generated with a link to make your next payment - you don't have to pay these installments immediately - You can make each payment whenever you're comfortable, as long as the balance of your order is paid in full within 3 months.
- Once order is paid in full, Playtech will begin to process your order.
4. Stock and Pricing
PC Specification: If the system you selected is no longer available, due to unforeseen circumstances or issues beyond our control, we will work with you to design a custom system that is equivalent performance to the PC you originally ordered.
Stock Unavailability: If items become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund within 7 business days.
5. Payments
Payment Schedule: After the first payment is received, our system will auto-generate a new installment each time a payment is received, you don't have to pay these installments immediately - You can make each payment whenever you're comfortable, as long as the balance of your order is paid in full within 3 months.
Payment Difficulties: Contact us immediately if you're having trouble making payments.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel your lay away at any time, however you will be charged a 10% admin fee, based on the amount paid so far.
6.2 When We May Cancel
We may cancel your lay away if:
- Your order is not paid in full within 3 months.
- Items become permanently unavailable.
- You request additional changes or customisations that make the order unviable.
6.3 Cancellation fees
After cancellation we will refund you within 7 working days, in some circumstances you may be charged a restocking or administration fee of 10% of your payments made so far.
7. Collection and Delivery
Collection: Items available once final payment received - we'll notify you when your PC is ready to collect.
Collection Period: Collect within 21 days of final payment.
Storage: If your order is not collected within 21 days (without contact or prior arrangement) we will consider it abandoned.
Delivery: Available throughout NZ - delivery costs apply separately.
8. Warranties
Manufacturer Warranties: All items come with full manufacturer warranties from collection date
Our Warranty: Custom builds include 3 Year warranty and lifetime tech-support.
