This Privacy Policy describes how TMC Computer Ltd, trading as Playtech (“Playtech”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from www.playtech.co.nz (the “Site”).
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles. If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may also apply to you.

Personal Information We Collect
Device Information (automatic collection)
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect information about your device and browsing activity, including:

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Note: Playtech does not store your credit card or payment card details on our systems. All payment transactions are processed securely by our payment processor (Shopify Payments or another PCI-DSS compliant provider). We only receive a confirmation of payment outcome.
When we refer to “Personal Information” in this policy, we mean both Device Information and Order Information.
How We Use Your Personal Information
Order Information
We use Order Information to:
• Process and fulfil your order, including arranging shipping and delivery
• Process payments via our third-party payment processor
• Send you order confirmations, invoices, and shipping notifications
• Communicate with you regarding your order or support queries
• Screen orders for potential risk or fraud
• Comply with our legal obligations, including tax and financial record-keeping requirements under New Zealand law
Device Information
We use Device Information to:
• Detect and prevent fraud and security threats
• Improve and optimise the Site
• Assess the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising

Sharing Your Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with trusted third parties only to the extent necessary to operate our business:
• Shopify Inc. — E-commerce platform and order management (shopify.com/legal/privacy)
• Google LLC — Analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Meta Platforms Inc. — Advertising and remarketing via Facebook/Instagram (facebook.com/privacy/policy)
We may also disclose your personal information where required or permitted by law — for example, in response to a lawful request from a New Zealand government agency, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party service providers are based outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Canada. When your personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected. Shopify Inc. is headquartered in Canada, which has been recognised as having comparable privacy protections. For transfers to the United States (e.g. Google, Meta), we rely on standard contractual protections and the privacy policies of those providers.
Behavioural Advertising
We may use your personal information to deliver targeted advertisements and marketing through platforms such as Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) using cookies and pixels.

Cookies and Consent
We use cookies for essential site functionality, analytics, and advertising. Non-essential cookies may be set when you visit the Site. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time; however, disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals to websites. We do not currently alter our data collection practices in response to these signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond to them.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy:
• Transaction and order records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in compliance with New Zealand’s tax and financial record-keeping obligations (Inland Revenue Act / GST Act).
• Device Information and analytics data is typically retained for up to 26 months before being anonymised or deleted.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time. Where a legal retention obligation applies, we will inform you and retain only what is required.
Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including:
• SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted to and from the Site
• Secure, access-controlled systems for storing customer data
• Payment data handled exclusively by PCI-DSS compliant processors — we do not store card details
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Minors
Our Site and services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at hello@playtech.co.nz and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.
Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of any personal information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to any legal retention obligations)
• Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time
EU/EEA residents have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to certain processing activities.
