About This PC

Built around the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a 16GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the Champion is a high-refresh 1440p and 4K gaming machine. The 7800X3D's large cache makes a real difference in CPU-heavy games like Counter-Strike 2, Fortnite and racing sims, while the RTX 5070 Ti has the memory and muscle for demanding single-player titles at maximum settings.

It arrives with 32GB of DDR5, a 1TB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home, in a compact Zalman P30 mATX case with an 850W power supply. If you want more headroom, choose 64GB of memory or a 2TB SSD from the Memory and Storage options on this page before adding it to your cart.

Every system is assembled, cable-managed and tested by Playtech technicians before it ships, and comes with Playtech's 3-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What games can this PC run, and at what resolution?

You can expect every game we test to run above 60 fps at 1080p and 1440p on high settings, and all but one of them at 4K too. Cyberpunk 2077 runs at around 235 fps at 1080p and close to 150 fps at 1440p, Battlefield 6 sits near 215 fps at 1080p and 145 fps at 1440p, and competitive titles fly — Counter-Strike 2 is well over 600 fps and Valorant is similar. At 4K you are still looking at around 110 fps in Fortnite and Forza Horizon 6, so this is a comfortable 1440p high-refresh or 4K machine.

Can I buy a PC without a graphics card?

Yes. If you already have a graphics card you'd like to use, let us know and we'll quote you a custom system without one. If you're near our Rosedale, Auckland workshop, you can drop your card in and we'll install it for you. Otherwise, tell us which power connectors your GPU uses and we'll route and expose the right cables so it's easy to install when your PC arrives.

When will my PC arrive?

Most PCs take a couple of days to assemble, and the build time for each system is shown on its product page. Once your PC is built and tested, it ships with your chosen delivery option. Delivery usually takes 1–2 days in the North Island and 2–4 days in the South Island. Rural deliveries can take longer because they depend on the local courier's schedule.

Can I customise this PC?

Yes. Every Playtech PC is built on a modular platform, so it can be upgraded, customised or modified to suit your needs. We're happy to adjust any of our systems, whether that's more storage, a different CPU cooler or a full component swap. Some changes may add to the cost, so get in touch with our team and we'll talk through what you're after and put together a quote.

What Do 1080p, 1440p, and 4K Mean?

When shopping for a gaming PC or monitor, you’ll often see terms like 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. These refer to the resolution of the display, which determines how many pixels are used to create the image on your screen.

Higher resolutions mean more pixels and sharper image detail.

  • 1080p (Full HD) – 1920 × 1080 pixels. This is the most common resolution for gaming and offers excellent performance on entry-level and mid-range systems.

  • 1440p (Quad HD) – 2560 × 1440 pixels. This resolution provides noticeably sharper visuals than 1080p and has become a popular choice for modern gaming monitors.

  • 4K (Ultra HD) – 3840 × 2160 pixels. 4K delivers extremely sharp image quality but requires a very powerful graphics card to run modern games smoothly.

Higher resolutions create more detailed visuals but also require more graphics performance from your GPU. That’s why many gamers choose their graphics card based on the resolution they plan to play at.

What Does Frame Rate (FPS) Mean?

Frame rate, often measured in FPS (frames per second), describes how many images your computer renders every second while playing a game.

The higher the FPS, the smoother and more responsive the game feels.

For example:

  • 30 FPS – Playable, but may feel less smooth
  • 60 FPS – Smooth gameplay and the traditional PC gaming standard
  • 120+ FPS – Very smooth gameplay ideal for competitive gaming
  • 240+ FPS – Ultra-smooth performance for esports players

Fast-paced games such as Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, and Fortnite benefit greatly from higher frame rates because they make movement and aiming feel more responsive.

A powerful CPU and graphics card help your PC generate higher frame rates for smoother gameplay.

What Is Monitor Refresh Rate (Hz)?

A monitor’s refresh rate, measured in Hertz (Hz), tells you how many times per second the screen can update the image.

For example:

  • 60Hz monitor → updates the image 60 times per second
  • 144Hz monitor → updates 144 times per second
  • 240Hz monitor → updates 240 times per second

Higher refresh rates allow you to see more frames from your gaming PC, which results in smoother motion and clearer movement during gameplay.

For instance, if your PC produces 144 FPS in a game but your monitor is only 60Hz, you will only see 60 of those frames each second. To fully experience higher frame rates, you need a monitor with a matching refresh rate.

High-refresh monitors are especially popular with competitive gamers playing titles like Apex Legends or Call of Duty: Warzone, where smoother motion can improve reaction time and accuracy.
