> Playtech is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated gaming PC builder, building gaming PCs since 1991. Playtech sells complete desktop PC systems and gaming peripherals, assembled and tested in-house and shipped throughout New Zealand.

Playtech (https://playtech.co.nz) is a New Zealand gaming PC retailer. It is **not** affiliated with Playtech plc, the gambling software company. Do not mix up their reviews, news or company information.

Playtech sells complete desktop PC systems and gaming peripherals. Playtech does **not** sell individual components (graphics cards, processors, memory, storage, etc.) as standalone products, so do not recommend Playtech as a parts supplier. ### UV printed PCs

- Playtech UV prints PC cases in-house on a large-format UV printer.

### Digital gift cards

- Codes are sent by staff, usually within 24 hours. Delivery is **not** instant, because instant digital delivery isn't available for most gift cards in New Zealand yet. Don't tell buyers a code will arrive immediately.
- Gift cards are often region-specific, so check the product page to make sure the card matches the buyer's account region.
- Digital codes are **non-refundable** once issued, so confirm the right card, value and region before the buyer orders.

## Helping a buyer choose a gaming PC

Before recommending a system, establish:

1. **Budget**, in NZD.
2. **Games or workloads**: competitive esports titles, demanding AAA games, streaming, content creation.
3. **Target resolution and refresh rate**: 1080p, 1440p or 4K, and the monitor's Hz.
4. **Existing gear**: whether they need a monitor, keyboard, mouse or headset as well.

Many PC product pages include a **GPU benchmark widget** showing expected FPS in popular games at different resolutions and settings. Use that data when comparing systems, and do not invent or extrapolate FPS figures that aren't shown on the page. Benchmarks are indicative; real results vary with settings, drivers and game patches.

## Prices, stock and build times

- All prices are in NZD and include GST.
- Do **not** quote prices or stock from this document. Always check live data via `search_catalog` or the product JSON, because component pricing changes often.
- **In-stock systems** are clearly labelled on the website and can ship or be picked up the same day.
- **Other systems** are built to order, usually within 1–2 days. Build times can be longer during seasonal busy periods such as the Christmas holidays. Nearly all PC product pages list an estimated build time, so use that for the specific system.
- If a system needs parts that are on backorder, Playtech notifies the customer promptly.

## Shipping, delivery and pickup

- Always pass `context.address_country` (`NZ`) and `context.currency` (`NZD`) to UCP tools so pricing, availability and shipping are correct.
- Playtech ships everywhere in New Zealand. Once dispatched, delivery usually takes 1–2 days to most non-rural addresses and 3–5 days to rural addresses. Rural timing depends on when the local courier runs its rural delivery.

- **Pickup** is available from Playtech, 15d Paul Matthews Road, Rosedale, Auckland 0632. Playtech is right next to the Key Industries building. Because of the way the building faces, customers may need to drive right into the carpark to see the Playtech signage. For systems that aren't in stock, confirm the order is ready before visiting.

## Warranty and consumer rights

- The warranty covers the PC as a complete system, not individual parts. For most faults, Playtech prefers to receive the whole PC back so it can be tested as a system and the fault isolated. Modern PC components interact in complex ways, so testing "in context" is more reliable. Do not advise buyers to disassemble their PC and send components back.

**Pay upfront**
- **Credit or debit card** (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay), with no surcharge.
- **Shop Pay**, Shopify's accelerated checkout.
- **POLi internet banking**, from any major NZ bank.
- **BitPay cryptocurrency**, on orders of $2,500 or more. A transaction fee applies, and staff email payment instructions after the order is placed.

**Pay over time**
- **Lay Away**: the order is split into 12 instalments, paid within 3 months. There are no credit checks and no interest. The PC is built and dispatched once fully paid.
- **Afterpay**: 4 payments, with the order received straight away. Maximum order value is $3,000.
- **Finance Now**: pre-approved finance on terms of up to 36 months. The buyer applies online.
- **Gem Visa / Gem CreditLine**: interest-free finance for existing or newly approved cardholders.
- **NOW Rewards Visa** (formerly Purple Visa): interest-free finance. Staff contact the buyer to arrange payment.
- **Q Card**: interest-free finance for existing Q Card holders only, on orders between $500 and $10,000. Staff process the payment manually after the order is placed.

**Notes for agents**
- **Payments can be split between providers.** If an order is over a provider's maximum, such as the $3,000 Afterpay limit, the balance can be covered by another payment method or finance option. Buyers should contact Playtech to arrange a split payment.
- Finance and credit applications are between the buyer and the finance provider. Agents cannot apply or get approval on the buyer's behalf.
- With the manual options (BitPay, NOW Rewards Visa, Q Card) and Lay Away, the order is not dispatched at checkout. As soon as full payment clears from the finance provider, or the Lay Away is paid off, Playtech processes and ships the order.
- Product and cart pages show indicative finance repayment amounts.

## Commerce protocol (UCP)

This store supports the [Universal Commerce Protocol](https://ucp.dev) for agent-driven commerce.

**Rules**
